An Exclusive Interview of Rahul Mutha Managing Director Isha Enterprises (Pune)

• Introduction:

Established in 2003, a beautiful journey of 16 years. Isha Enterprises is among the India's largest supplier of video surveillance portfolio & solution, also provides time attendance & biometric machine, hard disk drives for surveillance & accessories. Isha Enterprises has spread across the length and breadth of Maharashtra & Goa. With the dedicated team who handles the customers 24 x 7. It's their hard work and support which made Isha successful.

• Journey as an Entrepreneur.

Wonderful and Enthusiastic journey as an entrepreneur. Been an entrepreneur means always loaded with responsibilities. During the hard time support of family and staff plays a very positive role during my ups and down they were my support system. I believe in building long term relation with my customer and partner. As we say honesty pays, some skills like planning, decision making ability, optimistic thinking made my success of sixteen years. 

Q- What all business prospective you have done to stay ahead of your peers in the industry?

A. Today's competitive and struggling industry, we have to be unique and think rationally. While selecting any product myself and my team personally see the specification and test before selling the product in the market. We never choose the product unless it is approved and satisfy our terms. We prepare ourselves to answer and solve any queries of our customer, if they have for any product. Which comfort us to give them best after sale services. For my customer finance perspective, we had trade insurance which makes them helpful in monetary terms. 

We are associated with many brands like Hikvision, Western Digital (WD), eSSL, Netgear, Mayur, MicroPower, Bosch, Honeywell. We arrange training and educating session for our customers, as they come from the remote areas, where it's very difficult to solve the query of their client if they come across, our training turn's boon for them, which help them to tackle the situation. 

As we are based in Pune, in our area we have done many different things. We had launched Orange Cable, which other brands can follow. 

Q- What are the challenges/difficulties that you have to tackle in your day-to-day operations? Especially for the remote interior areas?

A. Satisfying customer for the product they had chosen is most challenging. As they come from remote areas where they are not aware of technicality of the product. It becomes a challenge to make their learning zone comfortable, so that they can comfort their customer. To overcome such situation we arrange technical session were we educate them and make them certified trainer. And see that they are ready to solve the queries of their client. 

But training is not enough for them Finance is a big difficulties as they don't have much capital for investment, we arrange for them credit limit. Which help the distributor to come in confidence so sell the product in their market. CAPITAL and KNOWLEDGE is where they lack. 

We in our journey of sixteen years made most of the remote area of Maharashtra and Goa well advance in using the latest product with all safety and security point. 

As the demand and growing of the industry every year by 35%, it become very difficult to keep in stock the product, tough we have a huge warehousing sometimes we face the lack of space to stock the products. 

Q- What all best practices should be followed by Isha Enterprises to become one of the leaders in the industry?

A. In order to become a leader understanding your customer need and satisfying him is very important. Apart from it there are some practices which should be followed by a distributor to become a leader. 

1) Capital: Finance plays a vital role for the distributor. Without proper and accurate lineup he couldn't stock the product for sale. Power comes with Good finance. 

2) Balancing Credit and Debit: Receiving and paying, keeping balance by rotating the capital is a sign of successful distributor. If a distributor wants to run for a long run he has to keep balance in his capital, targets can be achieved without any hurdles. 

3) Stock Management: Keeping enough of stack. Which will help to fulfill the customer's requirement on time, which he will fulfill his customers requirement with any further delay. 

4) Service: Any one can buy the product from anywhere any time. But if we want to keep the long run relation we have to give them after sales service. Best service always appreciated by the customer to keep long term. 

Q- What are the best practices as a distributor followed by Isha Enterprises that will help your clients to reap benefits in the long run?

A. We are located in the hearts of Pune city were connectivity to remote area is very strong. From the nook and corner of the areas get easily connected. If any of the customers couldn't reach due to lack of connectivity and time they can visit our branch office at Kolhapur & Nasik. 

Keeping client and customer updated. If they have any advice or suggestion for any product they are dealing with. We build a bridge for them. We directly keep their suggestion in front of the core companies, so that they can understand more about their product and satisfy what it is and what it has to be. So that the core companies can share the technical knowledge about their products by conducting Technical Seminar and Roadshows. 

Q- Going forward, Isha Enterprises almost captured length and breadth of Maharashtra & Goa? What are your focused plans for future targeted areas?

A. We had captured market in Maharashtra & Goa with our brands. We are focusing more in other states of India. Our target is to capture each and every market of India. Due to the modification in taxes, which will boost the market and help to run and flourish the business very well. Coming year Isha will make the pillars in every state of India. 

Q- With the changing market dynamics, what has been your success mantra? As your motto “Helping Our Customers to Help Their Customers”

A. With the motto "Helping Our Customers to Help Their Customers", Isha had reached the target of 100 crore for the accounting year 2018-19. Day by day we are working on the target to reach the remote interior areas. To bring more customers in the area of their comfort zone. In this competitive market, Best service and earing goodwill is the only surviving factors for long run. Now for Isha Sky is not a limit.
