Q- What is the progress of Prama Hikvision's Make in India initiative?

Prama Hikvision's 'Make in India' manufacturing facility is buzzing with activity and production is going on in full swing. Prama Hikvision's 'Make-in-India' manufacturing plant is a living testimony of our firm commitment to the vision, mission and a throbbing reality of an ongoing success story. 

It is one of the best and the largest manufacturing facilities in India in security and electronics Industry. The latest technologies, world class processes and state-of-the -art machineries are the key highlights of the manufacturing facility. 

With this manufacturing facility and big ticket investment, Prama Hikvision is continuing CCTV camera production to cater to the fast expanding domestic market in a phased manner. Employing over 2000 skilled and semi-skilled employees, the manufacturing facility is spread over 9 Lac Sq. Ft. area, comprising end-to-end production capabilities. Currently, this manufacturing facility produces 8 Lac Cameras and 1 Lac back-end devices per month. The installed capacity of this manufacturing facility is 1.5 million cameras per month. 

Q- We can see a quality growth in security in the Indian market, how are you tweaking your products to align with the emerging trends in the market?

We are upbeat about the growth prospects and opportunities in the Indian security solutions market. Among the key security technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, Face Recognition and Robotics are the most trending technologies. We have aligned AI technology in DeepinView Cameras and DeepinMind NVRs. It further aligned in the Access control segment through Face Recognition Terminals. Hikvision's face recognition terminals are embedded with deep-learning algorithms for access control and office scenarios for improving building operations, workforce management and safety operations. Hikvision provides Robotics solutions in the retail, logistics and warehouse segment. The smart warehouse robot system consists of AGV ("Qianmo" robot), RCS (robot control system), and iWMS (intelligent warehouse management system).

Q- What is your goal behind your success mantra Make in India?

This new integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is an expression of our long term commitment to the Government of India's flagship 'Make in India' program. We remain committed as a long-term partner of the country and continue to pursue our vision of 'Make in India for a Safer India' with manifold commitments.  

Q- What are the new and main products you have on display at IFSEC 2019?

We are participating in IFSEC India 2019 with the 'Make in India' as a core theme. We will be displaying the Artificial Intelligence enabled products, solutions and diverse AI enabled applications. We will be displaying innovative products and solutions in Machine Vision and Robotics categories. There will be some of the Hikvision's core technologies will be on display, which includes - Facial Recognition, ANPR, False Alarm Reduction, Color Imaging 24/7, Ultra Low Light Imaging, 4K Resolution, Smooth Streaming, Thermal Imaging, Seamless Image Stitching, Power over Coax, Power over Ethernet, H.265+ Codec, Direct Streaming and Alarm Verification.

Apart from AI technology applications the latest ColorVu Cameras, AcuSense Cameras, Thermal Cameras, DarkFighter X Cameras and Anti-corrosion Cameras will be the key attractions at the booth. There are live demos of ColorVu and AcuSense technologies. We are displaying our Smart Home (EZVIZ Smart Home Products and Solutions), Video Surveillance (DeepinView Camera, DeepinMind NVR, Easy IP 4.0, ColorVu and AcuSense Cameras), Access control (Face Recognition Terminals), Perimeter Security (Security Radar), and Intrusion Alarm (AXHub) product categories. We are showcasing key innovative solutions in Transportation, Education and Retail, Banking, Healthcare and PPOG (Power, Petroleum, Oil & Gas). 

Q- What is the response Make in India initiative is getting from the Indian security market?

The Indian security market has responded positively to our Make in India manufacturing facility and India specific products. We have received overwhelming response from the security professionals, system integrators, consultants, dealers and distributors. Our partners are happy to know that we have accomplished the Mission Make in India 2.0, which itself is an incredible achievement. The congratulatory messages have been pouring is from all corners of the country and the world. 

Q- What is the market share Prama Hikvision holds in the Indian security market?

We at Prama Hikvision are leading the Indian market with the largest market share, which is pegged at over 35%. The Indian security market is expected to grow at a 20% rate in 2019. The total number of professional video surveillance cameras sold in the Indian market is approximately 5Cr. (50 million) per year. We are experiencing a good growth in the revenues and expect to grow above 25% by the year end.

Q- What are your future plans? Any new announcement?

We are well prepared for the exponential growth in the Indian security market. After the success of 'Make-in-India' manufacturing plant near Mumbai, we are planning to set up the new manufacturing facilities in other states. We will lead the company from the front till the vision is realized to its full potential. We are setting a new benchmark by producing India specific products and solutions. Our motto is Made for India, Made by India and Made in India. We are focused on taking the latest security products and solutions to the tier II and tier III cities to support the goal of securing the emerging new India. Apart from innovative vertical specific solutions and customized solutions, integrated security solutions powered by AI applications will be a game changer idea. We will move further by expanding our network and manufacturing facilities.
